Landscape as Awesome
There are also those who view landscape as awesome.
That is not the definition used in today’s colloquial form, but the term understood as it once was.
Landscape as awesome implies an awe inspiring view.
Landscape preceded man and will succeed him too. Landscape therefore plays a key role in the life of man. For generations man has been able to derive pleasure from the beauty of the natural growth and development of nature. Man still does and will continue to do so. Thus landscape has been the focal point in the lives of many. Man often plans his journeys around the serenity of nature across the world, without missing an opportunity to enjoy living alongside existence of such exotic life.
Landscape is the framework within which man lives.
Landscape teaches man the existence of something greater than himself, yet has the ability to continually grow and better him.
Landscape teaches man to enjoy the everyday pleasures. For the everyday pleasure are not normal happenings, but extraordinary miracles.
Without man, landscape will grow with a will of its own. With man, landscape will continue to be shaped to cater for the coexistence of man and nature.
